In February 2006, CWCC officially started the Latin American and Spanish Desk (LASD), offering a comprehensive range of services to companies from these markets, where they plan to have business operations or currently having businesses in Hong Kong and China.

And Maria Arango Ortiz joined CWCC as manager at the start of LASD.

Maria is a Colombian. She holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from EAFIT University in Colombia and a master degree in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School, in Denmark.

She has extensive experience in marketing as well as sales and market research, both in the private and public sector. Her job at CWCC focuses in developing business opportunities with Latin America and Spain and also in creating a platform offering premier services to companies and entrepreneurs from these markets.

With the growth of our business in these markets, we have recruited Diana Cecilia Avendano Duque to join our team in March 2007. Diana will support Maria and all the activities and projects of the LASD and we welcome her warmly to our family.

Diana has a professional degree in Management Engineering from the Engineering School of Antioquia - EIA in Colombia. She has rich working experience in marketing, international logistics and accounting prior to joining us.

We strive to be the leader in these markets and so far, we have been receiving encouraging acknowledgement.

We will continue to establish a cordial and supportive relationship with businessmen from Latin America and Spain in their native tongue - Spanish. We are adamant that our unique communication - in Spanish - facilitates the Latin and Spanish companies to understand better the rules and regulations of Hong Kong and China and enhance their growth in business in the region.

We have been blessed with the opportunity to flourish in these markets and maybe even to a greater degree. We would like to thank our Latin American and Spanish friends and business associates, who have been so supportive of us in the last year and we will walk humbly with them in this new journey.
