J-SOX Summary
J-SOX refers to the Japanese requirements similar to Sarbanes-Oxley
Act Section 302 and 404 in the United States, which has been enacted
to introduce stronger Corporate Governance regulations and financial
reporting standards after scandals such as Enron Corp,WorldCom.
Mandatory for all companies listed in Japan (estimated 3,800+
companies)
Effective for fiscal years beginning on or after April 1,2008
or for most it will apply to March 31,2009 year-ends.
