Starting from 01 December
2004, the new minimum remuneration standard of Guangdong Province
enterprise has been adopted. Therefore, the Dongguan Government
decided to raise the worker's minimum remuneration from RMB 450
to RMB 574 per month in effective on 01 March 2005. The minimum
remuneration per hour for part-time worker has also been adjusted
to RMB3.91.
The minimum remuneration
standard is only applicable to the enterprises facing financial
difficulties in business operation, which can only afford paying
worker for the minimum working remuneration that are stated on the
employment contract. Otherwise, the minimum remuneration standard
is not applicable to those profitable enterprises.
