With accordance to the
related regulation stipulated in the "Consolidated General
Appropriations Act, 2005", the application fee for US emigration
visa has been increased by US$45 that reached to a total sum of
US$380. In addition, with a view to prevent the fake L-1 visa (working
visa for the staff appointed from Multi-National Corporations) and
H-1B visa (working visa for short-term professionals), the department
has also added an identification fee of US$500. Such fee should
be paid to US Department of Homeland Safety during the first application
or new employment for existing applicants. The new standard will
be effective from 08 March 2005.
