About new regulations on the further liberalization of trade under CEPA
   
China and Hong Kong has agreed on the further liberalization of trade under CEPA recently. From Jan 1, 2005, an additional 713 items of Hong Kong origin products in the second stage will be subjected to zero import tax. Together with the existing 374 items which already enjoy zero tariffs from 1 January this year, there will be a total of 1087 items of Hong Kong origin products enjoying zero import tariffs in China.
Based on the Annex 4 of CEPA "Specific Commitments on Liberalization of Trade in Services" agreed on 29 September last year, China will further relax the entry regulations of Hong Kong services and Hong Kong service providers of 11 industries in legal, accounting, medical, audiovisual, construction, distribution, banking, securities, transportation, freight forwarding and individually owned stores. China also agreed on loosening entry restrictions on the following 8 industries: patent agency, trademark agency, airport services, cultural entertainment, information technology, job referral agency, job intermediary and professional qualification examinations.



CEPA擴大開放新規定
 
近日內地同香港簽署了《CEPA》擴大開放磋商紀要。自明年一月一日起,內地將對第二批七百一十三種原?香港的進口貨物實行零關稅。加上今年一月一日起已經實行零關稅的三百七十四種貨物,內地共承諾對一千零八十七種原?香港貨物實行零關稅。
   
內地還同意,在去年九月二十九日簽署的CEPA附件四《關於開放服務貿易領域的具體承諾》的基礎上,在法律、會計、醫療、視聽、建築、分銷、銀行、證券、運輸、貨代和個體工商戶等十一個領域對香港服務及服務提供者進一步放寬市場准入的條件。在專利代理、商標代理、機場服務、文化娛樂、資訊技術、職業介紹、人才仲介機構和專業資格考試八個領域對香港服務和服務提供者開放和放寬市場准入的條件。
